Personal Finance II: Grade 7-12th

This class will meet throughout the school year and each session covers different topics related to Personal Finance. We will dive into the topics of career pathways, job readiness, workplace expectations, budgeting and trade schools. Personal Finance I is NOT a requirement to take this course.
Fall Session (September 10th – December 17th)

Spring Session (January 7th – March 18th)

Materials:
Personal Finance Workbook
Pen/Pencil

Required Materials:
I will email you a PDF of the workbook for you to print out. If you’d like me to print the “Personal Finance Student Workbook” for your child there is a $15 charge.

$275 for the entire year. Maximum of 8 students per class.  

Prealgebra (Saxon 8/7) Class

Materials Needed: Saxon 8/7 Textbook, Notebook, Calculator, Pencil/Pen

Lessons are to be completed Tuesday – Wednesday -Thursday. We meet in person on Mondays. In person includes: reviewing previous lessons and learning the next lesson in the book. Tests are to be completed at home. Students are to bring them to class, and I will grade all tests. Parents are to grade lessons.

Students can earn 1 math credit once they have completed this course.

I will give out our lessons schedule and assessments.

$550 for the entire year of 30 weeks September through May. Price does not include the textbook or class materials listed above. We will follow the Hive Fall and Spring session schedules.

Algebra Class

Math Tutoring: Pre Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, PreCalculus and Calculus (Instructor: Kristhianto N Kainama)

The Dalles, Monday 4pm, Tuesday 4pm, 5pm, Thursday 5pm

Lower Math (Pre Algebra/Algebra 1/Geometry) $40/hours Upper Math(Algebra 2/Pre-Calc/Calculus) $60/hours

In addition the students will have individual access to online platform IXL Math for remediation or enrichment.

Math Tutoring: All Grades (Instructor: Mary Wayda)

Come drop off your school aged children to work through their math books together with me. I can help guide each child through their daily lesson using mini whiteboards and other manipulatives to help show different math concepts. Sometimes having a different adult other than mom or dad teaching math makes all the difference in learning.

The goal being that after our session together their math is complete for the day.(Check out my Instructor page to learn more about me!)

I can meet in person on Thursdays at the White Salmon location. I can also meet virtually through Teams, Zoom or Facetime throughout the week as schedule allows. Sessions last about an hour. First come, first serve.

$40/session + one time $25 registration fee
